Hi everyone! I'm 29 years old. I am an urban school teacher in Baltimore, MD, USA. I really love what I do. I'm currently in graduate school to be an administrator, which is exciting and frightening at the same time.
So, I've recently quit smoking, which I am so proud of myself for! I smoked for more than half of my life. I decided enough was enough and kicked it! Yay me! In doing so, I've also put on 15 pounds. Mind you, I am a large girl to begin with, so this was the final straw. I've worked so hard to stop smoking, I can't ruin my health by being obese as well!
I'm married to a great guy, who is very loving and supportive. He works retail, so he's hardly ever home. With school and college and his crazy schedule, it's hard to eat right (I hate cooking for one!), so I get take out pretty regularly. Fortunately, I'm a vegetarian, so it's not that bad for me (it's not like I'm getting cheeseburgers or philly subs all the time- but the milkshakes and french fries are killing me!!)
So, I'm thinking I've got at least 50 pounds to lose. I know that I can do this. If I can give up meat (10 years ago) and cigarettes, getting this fat off my a** shouldn't be that difficult.
