ABOUT ME:
I am a 5'6", 62 years old, and as of 5/11/22, I am restarting low carb dieting. I moved to a new state almost a year ago, and my new doctor recommend that I look into bariatric diet/surgery. I attended the seminar, and it is a positive "NOPE" for me. They explained the risks, especially many complications after the procedure and they feel that "The Sleeve" is the best option for people now. Then, I looked into 3 different weight loss centers, including a hospital/physician one. I wasn't thrilled about dishing out a minimum of $900 a month, then buy food to do what I already know how to do: Low Carb. I am a wizard at low carbing once I get going! I just need to drink plenty of water so I don't end up with diverticulitis again.

I am married to a wonderful man who recently retired, 2 daughters & 1 son, and 8 grandkidlings. I worked for State Parks over 28 yrs. Now I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, RVing and boating, fishing, hiking, swimming, mountain trips, exploring the desert, attending concerts, and traveling abroad. Most of all, I love snuggling with my husband and seeing my family as much as possible, especially my gkids that spend holidays with us.

So glad that I found Fatsecret some years back. All of you have been so supportive and inspiring. Even through the bumps in the road.

January 30, 2018: Began LCHF-Keto Diet and Intermittent Fasting (Doctor's Orders). Had to stop after 4 months due to 2 ER visits for diverticulitis.

DREAMS DO COME TRUE ~ PUSHING FORWARD!

HAPPY HEALTHY LIFESTYLES TO EVERYONE!

Anxiety/Fatigue
BlondVital, Yes, I have. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and hashimotos disease (thyroid) in 2017. Felt like the blood had drained from my body and had shortness of breath. Found out I was deficient in iron, vitamin b and d. I also have damage to my spine, that can wreck havoc on your body. It took my awhile to begin to feel better. Most days are really good now, sometimes I crash and burn and have to make sure that I go to sleep each night at the same time and just do a lot of self care for myself. Going out for a drive and just listening to music helps so much, stuff like that!

A good dr should be able to help you!

started low carb
Hi, I looked at your one food journal entry and it looks like you need to increase your fat to 75-80%. There is a lot of good info on the diet doctor and keto connect. I too was low carbing several years ago successfully, losing 85lbs, of course after 2 1/2 years and a 4 month stall, I changed the way I ate and slowly gained most of it back. I am 58 and it has been slow going for me too. I wish you the best.
