I am 18 years old. Engaged to a wonderful man. (I love you assclownhater13!) He is going to be doing all the marvelous cooking and planning for me. <3 Going to college for Nursing. My family on both sides are obese, I used to always be skinny..Then I gained about fifty pounds in a year. Trying to get it off so I can feel confortable with myself again. I have exercise fatigue and asthma, so its really hard for me to do much physical activity. I really hope this site helps me keep it together, because I have tried many different things, and they just havent been working.

Great ideas for Atkins dieteers!
They're called "Swirl Stix" and you can have one of them for 3 grams of carbs--no sugar! Just go down your ice cream isle (I know it was hard for me, but I avoided my regular ice cream flavors) and look on the back of popsicle boxes or anything cold really, and if its sugar free, low carbs, go for it! You're allowed 20 a day!

Also, to help..do you often feel like you miss the crunchy sweet side that you don't get with Atkins? Try Bread and Butter flavored pickles! Crunchy and sweet for 1 carb a stick! Or try a diet, caffeine free soda. (Although, I like drinking decafeinated iced tea, sugar free)

The hardest part about Atkin's is not having foods on hand, except lunch meat and cheeses, the best tip I can offer (even though Im really not all that far along, though my family members have gone through it and have been successful) is to precook a lot of your meals and have them ready to snack on--bacon, sausage, hot dogs, etc.
