Hello everyone, I'm a new member to this site hoping to drop some weight & meet some friends. I've been married to my husband for 25 yrs. we are foster/adoptive parents who have 8 kids that that range from 22 to 1 yrs old 2 of which were foster kids that we have legal guardianship of. since being the sole care-taker of my mom & her losing her battle with cancer I put all my time & effort into helping her not realizing I was putting my own health in jeopardy by consuming foods I wouldn't normally consume I became overweight & therefore lost all hope of self-control/respect/confidenc... But this isn't me, this isn't what my mother raised me to be, I'm educated, day-care licensed as well a stay at home mom so it's not like I don't have a few minutes to spare..My family & I love any & all things that have to do with the outdoors: hunting,fishing,swimming,campi... exploring. Family night out is a favorite weekly thing we do together, as well as board games, arts & crafts & movie nights..My favorite all time classic movie is Gone with the wind, current movie is the Twilight Saga & I love Cassie Edward books, also since being a new stay at home mom I have decided to change my career direction by taking on-line classes for my associates in social-psychology in which I'm almost finished. Over the past 13 years I have lost a beautiful mother, gained about 85 lbs had 3 more kids but in 2012 I plan on BEATING the BULGE!! with the help of Family, Friends & Atkins & most of all the strength I get from my GOD for never giving up on myself no matter how many times I wanted to just lay there and forget about everything & everyone..God said we can do all things through HIM that gives us STRENGTH!! so I CAN accomplish my goals & maintain a healthy weight for life..So lets do this....
