Married my high school sweetheart in 2003. Graduated college with a BS in Elementary Education in 2008. We had our son in 2009. During his pregnancy I gained 50 pounds in addition to my weight already being a bit high for me. I never lost the additional weight. We had our daughter in 2012 and I gained a reasonable 28 pounds during her pregnancy. When she was 6 months old I decided to start counting calories. I was breastfeeding and able to give myself a substantial caloric bonus. I've lost 20 pounds since I startd regulating my eating and total of 30 since my 6 week postpartum check up. I've since quit breastfeeding and I'm relying strictly on diet and squeezing in workouts when I can. I've managed to maintain this weight pretty easily. I'm trying to lose another 10 pounds without feeling tortured. I don't aim to be super thin, I just like the way 135 sounds and it's a good weight for my 5'3" curvy frame. I don't have the desire to spend hours at the gym, nor to I want to torment myself anytime I indulge. I strive for balance. Eat healthy if it tastes good and exercise if it feels right.
