33 year old male... So this is my 2018 update.

Back around the end of 2015 I found out my wife of three years was cheating on me, then took my children and left me. We divorced and she married the woman she cheated on me with. I guess what I had planned to start then as my 2016 resolution to lose weight soon turned into just not caring to eat. I was practically to my goal weight, although not exactly the most healthy of diets, and then...

Skip forward a bit and I met up with an old flame, got comfortable in her unhealthy lifestyle. Soon found myself creeping back to my old weight, smoking again, and laying around more than I care to say. Kicked her to the curb...

So now I start on the track of at least eating healthy each day... working out to kill time between visits to see my kids, and slowly cutting cigarettes out of my life again(I had quit for over a year before the divorce).

Some day I hope to hit my target weight, but right now just being here is more important.

Updates:
- I know I hit my all time highest weight a week before New Years 2016, weighing in at 195 lbs, but I can't figure out how to put it in since I didn't enter it on the date.
- I was also back up to 192 lbs in April 2017... so unrecorded I've lost almost 10 lbs just since I broke up with the sandbag of an X.
- Just a little over a month before 2018 I started Keto... I've stuck with it no matter what and I already look better than when I was down to 160. I'm still moving towards that goal but as far as I am concerned I'm already looking like who I want to be. I think exercise is still in order, but overall I'm so much happier and I've never felt better.

Question about water
I believe that if you are cutting sugars out and you drink water with 'diet' sweetener in it then you will get an insulin rush which will give you a headache.
My suggestion would be to drink water with a little lemon juice in it.

Alternatives to Pullups
I would suggest the chair or box as Loki28 said. Set it behind you at about 1-2 feet, put your toes of one foot on the chair while leaving your other foot down(so if you fall you can catch yourself), attempt to do the pullup as much as you can but use your foot to help you reach your chin above the bar. This will help you build up to doing them without the assist.

a lil help please.
What do you need to know about the RDI?

How to set it on the site? How to calculate it?

The FS site here calculates it quite high...
