I'm a 30 year old mother of three who does not want to be "the fat mom." My 5 year old is going to kindergarten this fall and I want to be a size six by next summer and be running races again. I grew up overweight and didn't start running until after my first son was born.
I lost 65 pounds with weight watchers after my first pregnancy and ran the Chicago Marathon in 2004. Then I got back to a size 8 after my second son and ran a half marathon.
I started a new job in 2006 and the weight crept back on until I was suddenly 200 lbs again. A surprise pregnancy followed and here I am struggling with my sugar addiction and back at weight watchers to lose 80 pounds. UGH! This time I'm staying away from fat free and artificial sweetners and trying to eat more organic/healthy foods in smaller portions. I've done it twice I know I can do it again. It's all about positive thinking...and some friendly competition sure helps too!
