I am 65 years old and have a weight problem most of my life. I lost 50 pound in 2006 and have maintained it for about 1 year. But I don't want to maintain I want to lose 50 more pound. I have recently joined Curves to see if that will help. I can use all the help that I can get and hope to spread some cheer for others. I am married and my hubby has lost 94 pound in over a year but he had the lap band done. We have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren that range from 21 years old to 4 years old. What a joy they are.

over 65
Is there anybody out there that is over 65 and having a hard time losing. I remember being younger and the weight would come off so fast, but I would always gain it back, but now it takes forever. I would love to have my metabolism increase like it was many moons ago. Lets hear it from the oldies.

Hi
Hi....Yes we can do it and will do it. I keep thinking that summer is just around the corner and I would love to have some weight off before that. Hubby and I are going on a cruise in Sept and I would love to be thinner by then too. I wish you luck. What diet are you going to be following? Smile

I need help
It was nice hearing from you. I am still learning this site and trying to figure where to go to do things and where to go to read things. I will conquer it eventually. It is sometimes so hard to teach an old dog new tricks. lol I did good this week and will try to keep it up. My hubby is sometimes my downfall. He loves to go out to eat quite often. I try to figure out what is good to eat but sometimes it is so hard. Oh well, I know I can do it and I know that you will do it also. I might look into the abs diet to see what it is all about. Thanks

I need help
Hi everyone. I sure could use some buddies out there. I am new to this and was hoping that this woould be what I needed. I am not sure what diet I will follow. For the last few days, I have counted calories and kept under 1300, but I don't know how many I should shoot for. I was going to try for 1000, but my daughter said that was too little. Oh well, hope to hear from someone soon.
