I just turned 43 in July and I have been overweight most of my life. Many extreme attempts at weight loss has resulted in my weight going steadily up over the last 20years. I have determined that I need to significantly reduce my calories more that the average "Jane". The South Beach diet allows me to reduce my calories while controlling my hunger. I am determined to loose weight for my health (type II diabetes mother, grandmother, grandfather etc...) mostly life style related. In another 10yrs my weight will not just be a cosmetic issue it will be a health issue. I would like to set a positive example for my two children 6 and 12. My goal is to have a healthy BMI instead of being classified as OBESE. I would like to achieve this goal by my
45th birthday. Wish me luck!!
