I am 46 years old since 2/2/15 In January I started working 12 hour night shift (0.9 FTE) at a large Metro Hospital as an RN. This means that I realy struggle to get in 8 hours of sleep on the days I am working. Also finding the time to work out is a challenge. I find it best to schedule my workouts into my planner that way I know what I am doing that day and do not have to really think about it. I generally go to Lifetime Fitness and either work out with my trainer, in my Pilates Class or other group fitness classes. I am trying to increase the number of days I am at the gym each month. I recently had abdominal surgery so I have gained some of my weight back that I have lost in the past. I know what works for me and that is limiting my carbs to 100-150 grams/day and eliminating foods that I am sensitive to (I had food sensitivity blood tests done a few years ago) and drinking 100oz of water daily. (about 1/2 my body weight in oz)I am excited to be working out again after my surgery and I am slowly introducing new behaviors to work on and incorperate into my new healty lifestyle.

I have two brothers and one sister all of whom are married with children. I have 2 nieces and 3 nephews whom I spoil and return. And I am living in the same town as my parents. My dad grows a huge garden so I am able to get much of my produce for free-ain't that grand! My roommate is a challenge as she is on a limited income and I let her stay with me for half the utilities and no rent. She also does not drive so I am stuck driving her everywhere because her family is not interested in helping her out.

Wish me luck on my renewed excitement and committment to my healthy lifestyle changes!

Introduction
Congrats on the 8 pound weight loss! Do not restrict your calories too much as your body will think it is in starvation mode and hold onto as much fat as it can. Also try to eat some protien with each meal, this will help you feel full longer and faster. Break down you 100 pound weight loss goal into smaller chuncks say 25 pounds at a time and give yourself a reward for reaching each milestone. Godd luck in reaching your goal.
