Am not fat but not slim either but just want to shed the remaining ~10 pounds before it gets too hard to do as I get older.

2000 Calories
Just a random thought: to me 2,000 calories sure does sound like it should be enough for the average person on an average day.

For me, it's great to have a calorie number or % as a benchmark.
