I work at a desk all day, but try to be active still. I workout at lunch (when I can, sometimes have to wait until after work), take walking breaks, and am active with my husband and daughter. I was a ballet dancer, but when I quit that, I gained a lot of weight (I never had to watch what I ate before). That all changed when my husband I started trying to start a family, as I wanted to be a good influence. Now, my daughter is 57, and the three of us will exercise together!

I have been in maintenance mode for awhile (10 years), but like keeping track of my weight. I try to keep my weight between 113 and 118 pounds. That is a range that my body is happy with, I can still eat how I like (mostly healthy, with some splurges), and a manageable workout schedule (30 minutes-1 hour, 4-5 times per week). And, I like the way I look at this weight. If I get towards the lower end, it is usually because I am stressed and either forget to eat or working out too much (it is not good for me). If I get to the higher end, I watch what I eat a little more closely (no glasses of wine in the evening), and add in a few extra workouts.

Does Wine Help With Weight Loss?
You could sort of say that I lost weight by drinking red wine because before, I'd been drinking cocktails. It was just when out with friends, but it was often enough. I drink wine much slower than cocktails, and each glass has less calories, so overall, I was consuming less calories. However, if you don't drink a lot already, it won't help adding it. Not drinking any alcohol at all would have meant faster weight loss.
