Last night I passed a major test. I am an emotional eater and last night was a bad night. I normally would have eaten chips, cookies candy and anything else sweet and fried I could find. I did not do that. I reached for some fresh sliced strawberries, two thin slices of fat-free turkey and two scoops of fat free sherbet. I also topped it off with a tall glass of cold water. I know some may say no big deal but to me it was a huge accomplishment and statement to my commitment to do better this time around.

This week I started exercising regularly and clean eating. No processed foods. I also drank nothing but water other than one cup of coffee in the morning or one cup of organic green tea. To sweeten up the coffee or tea I use SWEETLEAF sweetner. I also cut out "Whites". No dairy, bread, potatoes or pasta. I havae oatmeal and fruit most mornings or a veggie filled egg white omelet for breakfast. Lunch is a mostly green salad with a turkey/lettuce roll-up. Dinner is mostly veggies and some protein. Tons of water and I may have a snack of old-fashioned popcorn popped with olive oil and half an apple or a cup of sugar free jello. I lost over 3lbs this week. All while it was that time of the month for a girl. Excited to keep on this journey. I even had a free day on last Saturday due to a banquet. I did it all in moderation though. so far so good.

I started a new journey on Sunday April 22, 2012. After being sick for 5 days with an IBS episode and weeks of bad eating habits. I began the "No White", no soda or juice regimen. I started at 222 and 6 days later I am at 217.1lbs. I am planning on allowing myself to have one day where I am eating a little loser but not full-blown. I have been exercising at least 45min a day. I am doing both cardio and strength training.

This week has been an excellent week for me. Myself and some friends are doing a fitness challenge sponsored by the local YMCA. I am the team leader. Lol. I have been working out an hour a day twice a day. It feels good to ne moving again. I am a little sore and looking forward to my test day tomorrow. My eating has been healthy and on schedule.
