I'm 42 years old. I have 2 children ages 19 & 7. I have been over weight since the birth of my first child. I have been on lots of diets and so far the only thing that has worked for me is counting my calories.I live in south Mississippi and everything is fried here, so it makes it very hard to stick to anything. I am determind this time to lose the weight. I know it will take some time, it wont just wake up in the morning and it will all be gone ( that would be nice though!) I have to just keep telling myself " One day at a time!"

Looking for an internet friend to lose 50 lbs with
I would love to join too! I am a teachers asst. in a life skills class. I am currently working on my degree in special education, so I'n not a teacher yet but I will be one day. I also have gained more that 50 pounds while working this job. I have already lost 49 lbs and want to lose 50 more. I need all the buddies I can get to keep me motivated...

Hey ya'll!!!
I am new to the site but made my life change back in August. So far I have lost 40lbs and have 68lbs to go. I hope to keep a steady pace, but I get very impatient sometimes. I just have to keep telling myself I didn't get this way over night so it is just going to take time to get it gone. One day I will get to wear those size 10 jeans again!!!!
