Intermittent Fasting and Low Carb/High Protein
I enjoy people who are here honestly for a purpose higher than criticizing others. I don't understand why somebody would just want to post depreciative comments and show off about "supposed" scientific knowledge , without really being here for any purpose except Trolling. I'm happy to have the company of people who are doing the same thing as me, losing weight and sharing experiences. Sharing, that's great! So let's do it friends and ignore the Trolls!

Nice to see your statements. It's fortunate that, I personally, am not at all influenced in any way by them. Anyone reading these posts can check for themselves about Ketones and Diabetes type two on the site The Diet Doctor, which has many many Doctors teaching about Intermittent Fasting etc.I'm happy to be losing weight with no cravings, no feeling of loss and totally happy with my diet, the other times I dieted I used drugs to reduce appetite or Sibutramine to promote satiety. Not now

Intermittent Fasting and Low Carb/High Protein
I'm not worried about my ignorance in amino-acids, I'm old enough and VERY healthy, I am in the process of losing weight I have never been sick and I'm considered an example for the diet I follow.Whatever it is at that moment! As I was when diets were low fat and completely different from what I eat now. I bought an apparatus that measures ketones. Not expensive, the same one that measures glucose. It's more exact than measuring the color of urine. I measure about every three weeks to see if I'm in"OPTIMAL" ketosis, which is between 1,5- 3,5, normally when I'm losing weight it's around 3,00. Basically I don't need to lose any weight, but it would be nice to be "Feather Weight" when Summer arrives here in Rio de Janeiro as it's more comfortable being thin in the heat.

This remark is not completely correct, one needs a certain amount of amino acids to make up complete protein, as in Rice & Beans, which together make up the total amount of amino-acids to constitute protein, but for example the Eskimos were very healthy and Disease FREE eating only BLUBBER and Meat, without hardly ANY VEGETABLES, until Europe came along and decided they should eat BREAD! They became SURPRISE! SURPRISE! DIABETIC! It is completely incorrect to say that MEAT is not protein, dead or not. In fact you can hang fowl as they do game & consume it "HIGH" and it's STILL protein! In England historically the rich ate game Phaisander" which is OLD & STINKY and they were very healthy! ibeollle hasn't studied biology or physiology , which I have!

Too much protein brings you out of ketosis. Protein gets turned into Glucose , to calculate the amount of protein you need is easy, it's about one gram per kilo. I weigh 60 kgs so I eat between 60-100grams of protein a day.The more fat you eat the easier it is to do Intermittent fasting. Fat sates. The macronutrients are about 60-70% fat 20% protein and the rest HEALTHY CARBS;i.e. spinach, lettuce , kale.
