4 years ago I quit smoking then two months later I got pregnant. I gained 15 pounds in the 2 months after stopping smoking. The pregnancy added on another 30 pounds. After the birth, I went down to 150. And here I sit 3 years later at 152 pounds. I have decided to loose weight the right way with proper diet and exercise. My goal is 130 to start with and I would love to get back to 115 which is what I was 5 years ago. But at that time I was pretty much just smoking my life away and barely eating, so yeah, that wasn't healthy. I am determined and I am doing this for MYSELF. I have already lost down to 147 and this is my 2nd week on this diet. I am accounting for all my foods/snacks (stay away from sugar free candy-very high in carbs lol)/drinks. This has helped me see where the weight is coming from. I have increased my water intake and drinking the minimum of 8 glasses a day and I feel great. I have improved my flexibility and I don't feel like I want to rest all the time!

Counting Calories
yes yes yes! I even count the dollop of honey when I add it to my coffee or muffin! for example, if you keep record of EVERYTHING going in your mouth, you may see some bad habits that you didn't realize were bad. The other day I learned that a large cola from McDonalds was 500 calories and a large french fry is 500 calories. Now this doesn't even count the burger I may decide to eat for the day. But in just those 2 items I would almost have my DAILY recommended calorie intake in one meal! I needed to cut carbs also, so I chose to cut out my coffee creamer which had carbs and calories. Not much granted but I drink it twice a day, so it adds up. It all does! Happy losing to ya!
