I've struggled with my weight my whole adult life. I'm 5'2" and I've yo-yoed between 130 and 216. Each time I've lost, I've gained it all back, plus some. For my health, I'm ready to get off this emotional rollercoaster!

So frustrated... Needing to vent..
Hi, I'm sorry about your report. That has to be so frustrating! My dr. threatened to put me on medication back in March. I was fortunate that through diet and exercise all my numbers came down to the normal range. I understand that that doesn't always happen to everyone. My dr seemed surprise mine dropped so low and so quickly. I don't know if it'll be of any help to you, but I try to keep my 'food' cholesterol to less than 200mg, my fiber over 25g (they say fiber is instrumental in helping lower cholesteral), keep my protein up, my fat down, and try to get in cardio almost everyday. I can't say I've been doing very good lately, but I'm determined not to let food 'beat' me this time. With your family history, I would also listen to your PA friend. Sounds like she has your best interest in heart. Good luck!

Where is everyone from?
I actually was born in northeast Philly but my dad was from south Philly. Months ago, I think I remember you mentioning scrapple. I loved it growing up! I now live in the Dallas/Forth Worth area and I don't know of a single person that's ever even heard of scrapple. I grew up close to Bensalem...a town right up Street Rd called Warrington. If you get a chance, check out their grocery store, Wegman's. I think you'd really like it. All my family stills lives in PA, so we visit a couple times a year.
