I began my weight loss journey in April, 2009. At that time, I weighed 245 lbs and my eating was completely out of control. I was in pain much of the time with foot, hip or knee pain and I was sick of feeling lousy and tired all of the time. I cut out all sugar from my diet and began walking in June of the same year. Almost 2 years later I am down almost 90 pounds and while I can't say that I love exercise, I realize the importance that exercise has in weight loss. I am going to Zumba instructor certification at the end of April and for me, that is so, so huge. Two years ago I would have laughed at the notion.
Eating right has been much easier than I thought it would be and gaining control over food has been one of my greatest accomplishments. I know that I have a food addiction, but I refuse to let that addiction take over my life ever again.
