Start Weight
196.2 lb
Lost so far: 32.2 lb

Current Weight
164.0 lb
Performance: gaining 0.3 lb a week

Goal Weight
135.0 lb
Still to go: 29.0 lb
I found out about this site from an old, formerly long lost friend, so I am going to give it a try.

I joined Weight Watchers on November 29, 2007 (with a starting weight of 196) after struggling with my weight for the better part of the last 17 years (when my daughter was born!). For about 7 years, I was able to blame the fluctuations on pregnancies as I had a baby every other year.... but now, my kids are 12, 15, 16 and 19, so I can't really call it "baby fat" anymore :).

Since joining, I have lost 28 pounds, but still have about 33 to go to get where I want to. It has been helpful, to say the least, that my husband has not only been supportive, but is actually following the plan and has lost about 35 pounds as well.

July 17, 2008--
As of July 14, I have lost a total of 51.8 pounds to be at 144.4 and am now within my healthy range. Amazingly, my hubby doesn't like the new me! But I do, and I am so much more confident and healthy.

July 28, 2008--
I made lifetime Weight Watchers membership today-- 8 months after starting on this journey!! I am down 53 pounds to date. My ultimate goal was 135, but I'm okay with where I am now, so we'll see if I feel that I need to go down any more as time goes on. At least I know this can be done!! I have made it to my healthy weight range!!

November 23, 2009--
Well, time for an update... Have not been good about staying on track. I go once a month to a meeting to know that I am not within my goal weight. I have not been able to maintain and have finally decided again that I need to get back on track. I plan to use the site to monitor my points better again.

Diet Soda
I also have read (and believe!) that aspartame can cause cravings. cparker suggested Diet Rite... I actually saw this recommended when I was looking at the Atkins eating plan, I think... Hubby and I drank it for a long time. Good thing about it is, although no nutritional value, also nothing harmful... It's made with Splenda, has no caffeine and no sodium, but still soda flavor and variety. Currently, I drink diet caffeine free pepsi just 'cause hubby likes the flavor better, but would go back to Diet Rite at any time. That would be my suggestion if you just like soda and are not needing to stop for any reason in particular...

Getting to KNOW YOU, la la la laaa la laaa laaa
It's actually kind of funny that you posted this because I was just thinking this morning how cool it would be to know where everyone lives Smile

I live just outside of Portland, Oregon-- actually in Vancouver, Washington,(US) although I spend quite a bit of time traveling. That's why I thought it would be nice to know... could be a way to meet more FS people in person if possible. I also like the earlier comment by LeAnn about finding someone from each of the states.

My name is pretty self explanatory as well... First name and last initial. If I'd been thinking when I signed up, I probably would have made it DoubleT, which is my nickname at work-- I'm usually called Trina and my last name starts with a T....

Trip to Vegas
Exclamation I'm TOTALLY interested!!! I would bring my hubby, but NOT the kids!! Wink Keep me in the loop as well... the time frame doesn't really matter to me, although I have to be home for my daughters 16th birthday on 2/19....so I guess that weekend wouldn't work for me, but any others are fair game!

Fat Smash and traveling
I need some input.... I am currently doing Weight Watchers, but am thinking about trying Fat Smash. My sister did it and dropped from a size 12 to a 3 really quick. My problem is that I travel a lot for work-- I live out of a hotel approximately 3 to 5 days a week on average. Is this plan something that I would be able to follow with a lifestyle like that? I really want to get this weight off, and what I'm doing right now does not seem to be working for me. Any advice/input is greatly appreciated! Very Happy Also, what kind of exercise does it recommend and how much? I tend to have a hard time being motivated to work out, but I know I have to do it.
