Nightime Hunger?
I have the same problem and have found that having a cup of tea (I choose the sleepytime vanilla tea) with a little milk added to it, drank? drunk? (I never know which is right) slowly fills me up and I don't want to eat. I've also used a tbsp. of peanut butter eaten slowly, to help on the days when it's just too darn hot for tea. My trainer recommended a 1/4 of almonds or other nuts too. Hope this helps.

I can't figure it out!
Mermaid, I have the same problem...I eat healthy, am exercising but am gaining weight or just not losing. Today I went over the 160 line to 161 which is bothering me. Granted, I went into my weight loss knowing I can't do cardio till I'm medically cleared (I have Mild Obstructive Lung Disorder so if I do cardio, I pass out) but I didn't think I'd be gaining weight. I previously had success with Sensa (If you look when I first joined you will see the results...with no exercise at all cause I was recovering from pneumonia, bronchitis and severe lung disease such a fun 2 years) and I think I'm gonna go back to that, add it to what I'm doing since it worked before.

I can't manage to eat well! Cravings!arggg
Claire - I have a sweet tooth too!! The gum works for me sometimes...especially now that Extra has made those Dessert Delight gums that actually taste like the dessert they are supposed to be (Lemon Square and the Apple Cobbler/Pie ones are my faves). Another thing that works for me is to brush my teeth or have mint...cause I don't want to put anything in my mouth after brushing (and if I did it would taste funny thanks to the minty-ness)

A couple of years ago I went to see a nutritional doc and he helped me build a plan based around how I eat. He said cravings are one way for the body to tell you it needs something. Not that I recommend eating dirt if you are craving it (true story...he had a pregnant woman who was craving dirt it turned out that she needed iron and apparently that is in dirt...huh, who knew). He also said that for those sweet tooth cravings to keep mini tootsie rolls or mini 3Muskateer bars in the house and have one or two when I was craving sweets (both those things have no fat and he said were better than say a Hershey bar) and I do that to this day and I find that it really helps.

Good Luck!!

Help!
Dear roseomg, I know how frustrating not being happy with your weight and having people tell you that it's ok is...I'm 6ft tall and am what is considered a "healthy" weight and people always say that or that it's ok because I am so tall. I wonder to myself how healthy a weight it can be if I'm not happy with myself. Do this for you...I feel like sort of a hypocrite for saying that cause I am a girl who has spent her whole life doing what others want her to do, but no more! I am doing things because I want to or not doing them cause I don't want to. I want to be down to 140, so I'm working to get back there.

I don't know about the hubby part...I no longer have one. I know the frustration of what feels like a lack of support, though. I live with my mom (she's 73 and starting to forget things...like turning burners off)and I don't really get support from her, just put downs. One thing I did a couple of years ago when I started gaining weight and was worried about the obesity that runs in my family was I went and saw a nutritional doctor. He sat down and talked to me about how I ate, what I ate and made a plan for me so that I wasn't living on a permanent diet. For example, I love to drink coffee and milk (mine is 2 cups of coffee and 2 cups of milk in a mcdonlads supersize cup) and he said, ok if you enjoy drinking those, then cut at least one out a day (I was going through 2 12 cup pots of coffee a day) and switch to 1% milk. He also taught me ways to have things like chocolate when I am craving them...he said eat the mini tootsie rolls or mini 3 Muskateers because they have no fat and are smaller portioned. Maybe a doctor can help you do things like that...that way you can still enjoy the things that your husband is eating every once and a while. The doc also told me that I can still eat the things I love but moderation is the key.

Good luck!!
