I am really glad to have found this website. I live in the Big Apple, and have a wonderful life here. I am the mother of a son and a daughter-in-law...and now have a 10 month old grandson...who was a great motivator for me to lose weight and get in better shape. I have lost about 25 pounds since April 1, 2010....I am pretty near my goal...but I would like to lose another 5 pounds to have some wiggle room. I don't really eat carbs now...just veggies for now, but there will be those times when I want to celebrate and I want the leway to do that. I have been blessed with wonderful friends and family...a lovely job...and good health. I love the theater, movies, a good book...and a Netlix movie when I am home alone. I knit and I walk on my treadmill in the morning. Sometimes, weather permitting, I walk home from work...about a mile 1/2...no biggy. I belive that a good sense of humor is important to my well being and to others in my life. I try to NOT live in negative spaces...but if one should arise...I move out of it quickly. I use the Atkins forums for support and now this website to track my numbers and keep me ontrack. I intend to live the Atkins way of eating for the rest of my life. I like speaking to those of you who are near or at your goal weight...and who now have the great challenge of maintaining it and enjoying their eating too.
