I must admit - this is an amazing site! Great job you people have done here.
I am now doing my Atkins diet which i started on the 1st of April 2014 - I was 97KG at the time.

Lovealark - a couple of tips:
a. Make sure you get enough calories - if you don't - your body will go into starvation protection mode - which is a real vicious circle - you eat less calories and your body adjusts by lowering its metabolism - and so you never lose- make sure you get enough calories - but of course don't get too much - it's a balance

b. Make sure your ratios are right: I'll explain - in Atkins - you want to make sure most of your calories come from FAT (counterintuitive I know...) - so about 65% to 70% of calories need to come from fat (oil, butter, mayo, non fat meat etc., then about 25% from proteins and the rest from Carbs. This is a MAJOR mistake many people make.
How can you follow this? easy ... using this site at the bottom of your food page you can see the ratios.
If your ratios are not right - your body will not get enough fat caloires and start to convert proteins into glucose resulting in less fat burning and less weight loss - or even worse weight gain.

c. Watch you net carbs - (go to preferences and make sure your net carbs indicator is on). And make sure to eat between 15-20 NET carbs per day.

d. You can easily check if you are in ketosis using the Ketostixs

e. Oh - and don't eat those Atkins bars - focus on normal unprocessed food
