I am a 62 year old retiree. I was widowed in 2009 and currently live in South Carolina. I have three beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren. I hope to find a good low carb tracking tool and meet others who are serious about supporting each other in losing weight for better health.

Stinkin' Thinkin'
Hi Wayne, my name is Jane and I have an eating addiction. There is no pretty way to say this but I use food as a pacifier, friend, whatever. I must say congratulations on your healthy life alcohol free and you know how hard that was. Here is what I think and not too many people would argue this. I think that some of us have an addictive personality. It has taken me a lot of education and experience to come to this conclusion. Once I kick the eating problem I will have to be wary of what else I can get into. You have already proven to yourself that you have amazing will and determination. This is just something to apply that to. To accomplish what you have done already you must have the tools to conquer this. Good luck and please keep in touch I will need help here.

Stinkin' Thinkin'
Okay back to business so I am forgiving myself for falling off the wagon and I hope I can just keep it simple and stop that stinkin thinkin. I used to work in a Women's addiction recovery resource center That's a huge part of recovering from any addiction or abuse. I am really going to try to sort out the reality of eating and living healthy from all of the little stories I have been telling myself. My favorite is "just one bite." I wonder if any of you have been doing this? Feel free to share.
