Running does help get you into shape quickly. The couch to 5K is a great way to get started - very similar to the learn to run program from the running room. I got really busy in the last two years and stopped. It is amazing how quickly you can lose a good habit!
Motivation can be a struggle for everyone and that is where buddies can really help
