I'm a second year dental student. I've been married for nearly two years and it is nothing but a dream come true. We've got one baby on the way in April!!! I've gained 30-40 lbs since starting dental school and being married. Unacceptable. When clothes stopped fitting and everything started to look too tight I challenged my brother to see who could lose 30 lbs faster. I'll let you all know. Anyway, I'm being very aggressive and doing well. I'd love to work with others to help get the same results.

Dieting = Happiness?
Thanks, helpful posts and I feel a lot of you can relate. The driving force to my weight loss was that I couldn't fit as well in my cloths. I've played competitive sports my whole life and eaten what I want until the past 2 years and I put on 40 lbs. It is coming off much faster than I put it on but nonetheless all new to me. The only thing that keeps me from cheating on the diet is that I challenged my brother to see who could lose 30 lbs first and he talked a whole lot of smack. Anyway, thanks for the posts.

Dieting = Happiness?
I've lost about 15 lbs. in 2 weeks just by changing eating habits and being a little more active. I wonder regualrly if it is worth it. I am such a social eater and really enjoy food even when it is bad for me. These are some scary thoughts because I often wonder if I would be happier on the plump side and unrestricted. I don't know. I'm hoping on the other hand I will be a little happier in a few months when I start to feel healthier.
