A good point of reference for my bio on this sight would be my weight. I was originally born at a low birth weight. Throughout growing up I went in and out of growth spurts. I remember feeling fat in Junior High and now that I look back at it - I was nowhere near to being fat. I always played a lot of sports but the high activity level during playing on organized sports dissipated when I went to college. I remember after the first semester of college I had gained 50 pounds. I remember it because I was extremely embarrassed at seeing anyone when I returned home in fear of them seeing my obese body.

Going back home, I tipped the scales at 300 pounds. It was a marker that made me go into cave mode and lock myself in my dorm room and feel s##tty about everything. Since then I have graduated. I've never given up with weight problem but now I'm at 330 pounds. Last year though I was at 341.2 and managed to get all the way down to 304. I ignored what I was eating and excersised a couple times a week and crept back upto to 330. I CAN'T see my weight go back up to 341.2 because it would devistate me.

But basically raised California, born in Arizona, and am currently living in New Mexico.

Yes, it really does... but not in the way that most people think.

The VAST majority of your calories are burned by things you aren't doing. Your body burns calories for functions like breathing, keeping your heart pumping, thinking, etc., etc. Exercise only burns a small amount of calories in comparison. This is why it is so important to watch your calorie intake. No amount of exercise can make up for a s***ty diet.

That being said, exercise still burns extra calories. And more calories burned = more pounds lost. It just happens slower than most people would like.

Even though you won't burn a huge amount of calories, you still need to exercise for the physical and mental benefits. It just makes you an all around better person.

I don't understand the activity log..
Your body burns calories even when sleeping. The exercise section on here calculates every activity you give it = with a default of 16 hrs resting and 8 hours sleeping. If I do nothing in a day, I still use up like 3000+ calories. So maybe thats the reason.

Hey I'm I have the Pearl 8130 and I can't seem to find any information on the pearl itself. What I'm hearing though is that if you have 4.6 and above it should work. So if you got to tools options>about: you should see the version on the like the 3rd line or so. (ex vers 4.5.00.89)

And like some other people on here I thought the Calorie Count was the same as Calorie CountER, but it is very different.

So, my answer is no, unless there is a way to update the OS.
