the evil scale
The emotions of dieting can be a real stumbling block if we let them. The scale, the emotional ties to food, the real or imagined deprivation we sometimes feel, all these things can cause us so much grief if we focus on them. The trick for me was to pin point exactly what's bothering me and why. Is it the isolation I feel when everyone else is indulging? Is it because I let a little piece of equipment dictate how I'm going to feel for the rest of the day? Then decide how to make it better. I need to reflect on what's good in my life for a few minutes each morning and that helps set the tone for the day!

Just Beginning (again)
I'm recommiting to the Atkins way of eating. I always lose a few pounds and get cocky, stop tracking and stop losing. I thought that if I made an effort and tracked here it might make the difference I'm looking for. I am having a little trouble tracking my exercise. I don't understand how to accurately record that I do not sleep 24 hours a day!
