First off, you will lose the weight when YOU are ready, not when someone else tells you. You will know you are ready when you
1. Take control of your eating,
2. You stop blaming others for your not losing the weight,nobody controls what goes in your mouth but you
3. You just get out there and do the exercise that's required. Sure, it's hard and it's not pretty but this is not supposed to be fun or pretty. If dieting were easy, none of us would be over weight.
It's true what they say, "NOTHING tastes as good as being thin feels", that my friends is an absolute fact. You can write me asking what I did and I can give you suggestions but most likely, you won't like them. Why? Because I gave EVERY food I loved up. Chip's, candy, pastries, coffee's from Starbucks and alcohol. The only exercise I have ever done is walking, not running or jogging, but fast paced walking. It is so hard to walk away or say "No" to that birthday cake or that weekend drink with your friends, but the outcome is so much more rewarding than a momentary piece of food. You CAN do this!
Looking back, I was spinning out of control in 2006. I was 32 years old and 125 pounds overweight @ a mere 5 feet 3 inch's!. I was sitting up all night learning photoshop, snacking on whatever whim I had,usually pizza, chocolate or ice cream or both,I also NEVER worked out. My mother suggested we join weight watchers one day and my life has never been the same with food since. I look back in absolute horror when I think of how I used to eat. Am I phobic? Maybe a little, but I will forever be a fat girl trying to stay thin. I know that sounds terrible but it's true. I've made the journey but the real fight starts now to maintain.
