THE MOB: Morbid Obesity Buddies Group (JOIN US)
I did a lot of work on my own before joining here. And really I have to say I wish I would have known about this site earlier. Its always easier to do it when you have such a great support and resource network.

May As Well Say Hi And Start Networking
Evening all. Brand new to this site. I was using Fitday but this site is way more interactive.

So here's the brief story. 45 yr old male. Thought life was good but was diagnosed as Type 2 a month ago today. Have made some great changes in diet and have dropped my morning readings by over half already. (Was 24.1/mmol and am now in the 8/mmol range). At 6' 2" I hold my 242lbs really well but am into that last 15lbs to lose. And let me tell you, it's hard hard hard. However with this site and all of its new found resources I am very hopeful that last 15 is as good as gone.

best breakfast?
For me, the key has been a liquid breakfast. 1 scoop of protein powder, 3 ice cubes, 1 cup of milk and 1 (100ml) yogurt cup. Keeps me full right up till 1pm.

New to the Group
Morning all. Figured I would say hi and join this group. Funny and ironic tale here. Was 290lbs in 2011, lost 60 pounds in the summer of 2011; had my appendix rupture and was just diagnosed Type II a month ago. GP wants me to drop another 20 or more if I can.
