Hi, my name is Dahlia. I just turned 33 years old and I live in Los Angeles, CA. A friend told me about FS and encouraged me to join the site with her. I recently signed up for the 50 LB challenge and I like the support it offers. I've struggled with my weight my whole life and I'm ready to put an end to that struggle once and for all. There are so many things that I want to accomplish and experience and my weight has held me back in the past. Not anymore. I'm ready to live life to it's fullest in the body I was meant to have :-)

I lost about 20 pounds over the last year but I'm ready to kick start my weight loss into high gear and get to my ideal healthy weight of about 130. When I hit that goal at the end of the year you can find me celebrating with my friend on a tropical vacation, where we will be flaunting our new fabulous bodies on a warm beach :-)

I'd love to hear your success stories and gain some new friends and tips in the process. I'm going to wrap this up with a quote from a co-worker that is also losing weight this year. Her motto is, "I'm losing weight in 08 so I can look fine in 09". I love it!!

GREEN SEA TURTLES
Hi Everyone!

My Beach is to cook dinner each night rather than eating out or picking up something "healthy".

I earned 5 points for Monday and then 0 today. I was tired after work and after running a few errands and wanted El Pollo Loco. I'm committed to by BEACH for the rest of the week.

Is anyone doing the 5 Factor Diet?
If so, I'd love to get some feedback on your success and if it's difficult to follow. I'm worried about preparing the meals. Are they difficult?

50 LB WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE - WELCOME
Well I"m finally out of my rut and I'm down 2 lbs! Hooray!!! I realized that when I increased my protein intake I stopped losing. So, I went back to doing what I did the first few weeks and it worked!

As for the surgery question, I wouldn't consider having it myself becuase I feel that I can lose the weight on my own. I see the benefits to surgery but I've also seen the downside. Which are various health problems, vomiting, fatigue, and excessive loose skin, which requires plastic surgery afterwards.

Banned Excuse: "I'm too tired to cook dinner"

Changed habit: Purchase foods that I can heat up quickly or prepare meals Sunday nights. Chop all my veggies and mix my salads in advance so all I have to do is just warm things up or add a little dressing.
