Calories
It really isnt about the calories ..calories counting is a very bad way to lose weight ..what you should be looking for is the quality of food you are eating ..for example 2000 calories of Mcdonals Big macs is very different from 2000 calories of Fresh Sirloin Steaks and Broccoli and sweet potatoes..

Look for quality in foods and real foods like fresh meats, fish, free range/organic eggs, veg and fruits that have not been tampered with ...eat 3 good meals a day and most important rule " eliminate process sugar and fructose corn syrup from your diet and drink plenty of water at least 2.5 litres of fresh water ........ps rem its about quality not calories

Best Diet Plan??
Keep it simple if you want to lose weight and sustain the weight loss it has to be a life style change or you just simple lose the weight and gain it again ..okay here what you should do if you really want to get rid of the lbs fast and keep it off ..

1) eliminate any process sugars, process surgar foods and fizzy pop drinks ..this includes fructose corn syrup stuff

2) eliminate bad carbs ( rem I didnt say dont eat carbs just eliminate the bad ones) like bread, pasta , white rice

3)eat proper cooked meals not microwave foods ..

4) eat anything that is natural and not tampared with ..so like chicken, beef, fish , veg , fruits , nuts, eggs ..

5) 3 good meals at least a day

6) its a life style so if you can't go hardcore then just rem 80% eat good in a week 20% you can have a little bit of fun...

Why should you weigh yourself?
Weight isn't a true indicator of fat loss for example you can have 5 kg of fat or 5 kg of muscle and the muscle will look leaner and slimmer plus will help to increase your metabolism...Personally like what Spacey47 said ..your clothes measurement especially your waist is a way better indicator if you going in the right direction ..also its more about fatloss than weight loss : )
