Metabolic set point
Thanks for these - v. helpful. I'd guess that the drop in intake has had an impact and altough I don't hit 2000 deficit regularly, but it is probably in the 1,000 region on a regular basis.
Will total pick up on the protein tip - thanks to the impatient one for that Smile I'm vegetarian so this is something to keep an eye on. Also the articles which are great.
Lifestyle is sedentary, desk job but I exercise every 2nd day and walk about 30mins every day also. I'm 5'11 so not a wee thing either.
zigzaging also sounds like something I'd be willing to give a shot.

Is there anyway to figure out your metabolic rate? Or do you just have to guess based on weight loss?

Metabolic set point
I've cut down to 1200 calories per day and still don't lose any weight. Having skipped lunch for most of my life, it may that I've reached a metabolic set point. Please share any articles on this and how to kick start the metabolism again.
Is the best strategy to keep cutting intake until I cross the 'set point'.
