Well...I finally let it happen. After preparing for a nice vacation back in May of 2010, I got back and never really got out of vacation mode! I eat whatever I feel like and I have really managed to slack my weekly workout routine down to a measly 2 days a week! Unacceptable.

My plan is to stick with this website and since I found the app to sync up with my phone, I think it will be doable to keep up with the stuff that I put in my body. I am looking for encouragement to eat colorful and healthy foods and exercise at least 5 days a week.

A little about me..I'm 28, married, I have a 2 1/2 year old puppy baby girl named Layla, no children and I'm in grad school working on my Masters in Elementary Education. I love to run and plan on running my third half marathon in February. Hopefully, by then I will be running with 10 lbs. less fat on my behind!!

Exercising on Thanksgiving Day
I'm on this train, baby!! I think I'll run at least 4 miles. Friday I'm taking a "Turkey Turbo" 2-hour class, as an out of towner at a gym I've visited before. I'll look silly - because this class combines kickboxing and ZUMBA...which is hilarious for me to participate in, since I have no clue what's going on 90% of the time. But, I don't live there - so who cares!? =)

Workout Music
I know this is nerdy, but I LOVE running to anything techno. It makes me feel craaazzzzyyyyy hyped up and I love that. Darude is a good techo guy...but iTunes has a lot of that genre that you can search through until you find some stuff that fits your taste.

I don't like listening to the stuff that they overplay on mainstream radio stations because I'm just over hearing them a billion times, so it provides little motivation for me.

Hope that helps!!

ahhh exhausted!
I'm soooooo with you! Last night, I did something new though. I usually go home, take a shower (since I workout usually after work) and get in my comfy clothes that I sleep in. But last night after I took my shower, I put jeans and a t-shirt and socks on and did some cleaning and some homework (oh, did I mention I am also in grad school full time?!). Then I took my dog for a walk and I didn't have the urge to want to go to sleep at 8:30 like I normally do. Ha! I mean I sleep great throughout the night, but for some reason I feel like I've been run through a pulper by 8:00! I am consciously trying to come up with ways NOT to be so exhausted so early so that I can spend time with my hubby when he gets home from work (he works retail and this time of year, I'm lucky if I see him before 9...)

So, that's my first piece of advice...try not to get into clothes that make you want to head right for bed. Go for a walk if you have a well lit neighborhood when you get home from work.

Let me know if you can think of other tricks, because I'm definitely having the same issue!!!
