Removing Weigh-ins
I joined this site some time ago and was using it only here and there. Recently, I've decided to trash the "fat clothes" and I'd like to set my weight-in history to begin in the last month or so.

Is there a way to remove old weigh-ins or set the begin date to a specific date?

Thanks!

How often should I weigh myself?
I try to weigh myself daily. I find that I respond better to a nice trend on the weight graph than I do to the weekly spurts. Plus, if you weight only once a week and you are on a plateau, you could be very disappointed if, at the end of that week, you didn't lose much. Daily monitoring can tell you if you are still moving.

Try to always weight yourself at the same time each day. I'd recommend morning, since you are most likely to be the most uniform from day to day in the morning.

You don't need to lose any more weight!
Let me throw a different spin on this. This is the second time I've decided to go hard-core at losing weight. The first time, I lost about 25 pounds. My wife complained that that I was getting too thin. Not even close, I was still a good 50 pounds from my "ideal weight".

I prodded her on it later and she said that I was starting to look different from what she had always been used to. She felt like she didn't really know me anymore. She was right, I was different. I was taking care of myself, something I hadn't done since we'd been married.

This time is better because I told her that the doctor said I needed to lose weight and I laid out my plan to her. She's much more supportive. People think that if you are losing weight, you must be starving yourself, especially in the beginning when the weight falls off more easily. I'd say the volume of food I eat now is similar to what I ate before, the difference is *what* I eat.

So keep up the good work. They don't understand your goals or motivation. I suspect there are plenty of things about the same people that make you scratch your head. Wink
