Hey, everyone, My name is Jen. I am a 37 year-old housewife who finally got sick of being sick because of the way I was eating. Hubby and I live in SC in the country on a small farm, we are currently trying to adopt a child.

I love music, art, literature and volunteering at the local hospital. I have been on Atkins, induction phase for 13 months now, with a 44 lb loss. I have 41 to go. I started Phase 2 Atkins on May 18 2013.

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
lj, yeah i have the preggers problem too. I'm 5-3 and a definite apple shape with big boobs, so its constant. I am usually so embarrassed I cant speak, but recently I started saying "no, and I've lost 36 lbs."

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
I rolled over in bed and my boobs flopped off the side, along with my belly, there wasn't room for me and hubby in the same bed. Also, hubby and I are trying to adopt and I didn't want to the parent that cant play with my child. I started at 225lbs 11 months ago, weighed this morning at 188.4!lbs

help and advice someone please!!!
low cal combined with low carb is a bad idea, your body has to live on something!
for women, calories should be between 1500 and 1800 per day. My plan is 70% of cals from fat, 20-25% from protein and 20 net carbohydrates per day. I've lost 36 lbs (don't know what that is in kg) in the last 11 months. Do you have a specific program u are using?
I am using New Atkins for a New You.
