LOSE vs. LOOSE
I try to type correctly (both grammatically and spelling). Sometimes, it is difficult on the mobile. I appreciate the post because English is my THIRD language. Sometimes grammatical rules and spelling get mixed up with french. So, the advice is duly noted. Not only am I losing (is this correct) weight, I am also improving my English as my clothes become looser.

Secrets Revealed
Fatsecret is great. All you need is few minutes to record, read, motivate, and get motivated. Instead of wasting time on other social networks, I focus here on one common goal with my buddies. I have good days and real lousy days. It does not matter for I have one goal..loose the extra weight and exercise.

Something to think about
It also depends on how baggy your clothes are. I lost 40 lbs (18 Kg) from am initial weight of 300 Lbs (136 Kg) and I still have people (who are not close family and friends) tell me: "Boy, you gained too much weight" because I am still wearing my size 46 jeans and my Size 3X shirt. I intend on buying some clothes as soon as I hit the 242 lb (110 Kg) target. I am sure by then it will definitely be noticeable!

Social events pressure
Well, I live in Lebanon where the typical Lebanese Lunch.Dinner invitation at a restaurant includes the following:
4 to 5 types of salads
4 to 5 types of cold appetizers
3 to 4 types of hot appetizers
Then comes the main course
Not to mention alcoholic beverages.

These are NOT a buffet style lunch/dinner. These foods are AT THE TABLE in front of you for a 3 hour party.

So these rules have helped me ( and I have avery social life that included 11 invitations between Aug 15 and Sept 15):
-Never eat before you go. Because you will crave and cave in.
-Start planning for this by eating very light during the day and drinking lots of water during the day.
-When you arrive at your party, start with a glass or two of water.
-If there is a salad or vegetable snacks (Cheery tomatoes/Cauliflower/Carrots) munch on those.
-By the time the "Bad" foods arrive, you are semi full, a LITTLE control is needed.
-Try to leave few minutes early to allow for a short walk BEFORE you go to bed. Otherwise, all the calories you ingested are going to go your waste line.
-When you treat yourself to food you have to equally treat yourself to extra activity. So, try to burn these extra calories and don't procrastinate.

Body weight/RDI?Burned calories calculators
http://bwsimulator.niddk.nih.gov/

This link provides the best Body weight simulator I have seen on the net.

It is provided by the National Institute for Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (National Institute for Health).

The Fatsecret calculators are too generous with the RDI calories. Sure you will loose weight if you stick to their RDI but VERY slowly.

I did NOT Compare the Calories burned bu activity level (Fatsecret vs NIDDK) but I will at a later stage.

Regardless of which calculator you use. If you stick to your plan and don't give when you fall off that horse (and we all do). you will reach your weight goals.
