Single mother of 2 grown children and one younger one at home. Work as a social worker, and PhD student.

I have been on and off this site, for 11 years, I actually lost a lot of weight, but find myself due to COVID, gaining all this weight back. I have not been active like I was, and am now incorporating what I need to do to get back to my desired weight, feel good, and be happy.

I do better with a plan, challenges and being in a supportive environment and really tracking what I need to do. I am a fan of Keto and intermittent fasting, as those were the things I utilized and really lost weight. I would like to get into running in the future, as I start to feel more healthy.

What are or were your biggest challenges that you have overcome?
Mine is and will be myself,,,my mind will tell me "that cookie is not that many calories, you have been doing so good"..its those hidden calories,,,and I really have to be on guard when I wake up at night, I was a big night eater,,,because I used to work overnights the last 10 years. Also, buffets, I have not been to one while dieting, but I cannot resist gorging on all that fried food! lol..
Mine advice would be what I am following, its a life style change,,and progress not perfection, you just have to keep trying, even if you slip up a bit,, just add a little more exercise, and try again!

What's your motivation to lose weight?
lol...yes, I was always a fast, fast walker,,, I still can, but get out of breath faster! Bad thing is three years ago, I had back surgery, that was when my weight went through the roof,,I gained lots of weight afterwards that where they cut on my lower back is puckered,,so if I wear jeans and any of my back is exposed it looks like my butt crack, because the weight gain made is puckered!! lol...so I pray as I lose this my scar will even out and I will not have that issue anymore!.

What's your motivation to lose weight?
I feel that way. I know what your talking about. I am at my highest weight ever! I was in denial, and kept saying " I will lose this",,,until I really looked at myself in the mirror and could not stand it, I had no idea who it was, and said I am done with this. I can do it, and this is not my body! I remember how I would feel free, not in pain alot, not feeling like I have weights tied to my body, not feeling back pain.

Does anybody else hate shopping for pants/jeans?
I hate jean shopping at this size, but love it when I am smaller, there are always more choices it seems.
