When I was 19, I starved myself to get into the Army, and for three days before my final weigh-in, denied myself water as well. I didn't make it; the scale was at 180. I started to cry, and the nurse taped me instead, which I passed. Two months later, I got shin splints from running. Of course, I kept running, and ended up with hairline fractures spiraling along both tibia. From there, everything went downhill. Orthopedic defect in my ankle, bursitis in both knees, and a sudden sickness and fatigue that came from nowhere. I put on sixty pounds in about four months, and over the last decade, have struggled to keep the scale from jumping up with each new life trauma. I passed 30 and then neatly passed 300 and had, unsurprisingly, a meltdown.

Now it's 2015 and I'm aiming towards paleo, but I'm unable to work, broke as all get out. I'm doing what I can with what I got, trying to get back down to a place where I can walk up and down the stairs without wanting to cry.

NAVIGATORS!!!
This week was not good. Doubt

I got a major case of the worthless-poo. I started crawling out of it on Thursday, but I'm still wobbly from it. At any rate, up .3 pounds and checking in with only a small amount of activity - because I'm not counting dishes and laundry.

Saturday - .92 miles
Sunday - 7 miles
Monday - .57 miles
Tuesday - .62
Wednesday - .54
Thursday - 5.24
Friday - 1.94 + three hours of pottery

NAVIGATORS!!!
Ahah, I need to move some more again. I did really well on Sunday (7 miles!), but all I've done since then is clean the house. (On the positive side, every stitch of clothing in my house is clean.) Laughing

"AROUND THE WORLD" (in 42 Days)
Crap, I forgot to reply to the weekly thing.

Mindless munching: Like most of you, water is my saving grace. It has to be ice cold, though. My munchies usually hit me at night, about 9pm, and if I'm really good, I'll go to SLEEP.

Reading labels:
Over the course of the last three years I have learned to glance at a nutritional label and know if it's crap. I have to avoid both gluten (insidious little bugger) and mass amounts of dairy. Generally, if I'm met with a solid wall of text, I put it back. I like things with ten ingredients or less. Unless they're spices.

cous cous verses rice for better carbs?
I have celiac disease, so quinoa flakes are my oatmeal in the morning. I remember being disgusted by the quinoa flour I used - it tasted like dirt to me, but now I love love love it.

Just my random 2 cents. Laughing

A New Eating Disorder?
Hah! Guess that means I'm crazy. At least I don't have colon cancer. Bad Grin

Seriously, what is with the media and the skewing of every tiny thing? Was it a slow news day? Jeez.
