Hey everyone, i am a 22 year old graduate waiting to do my second degree in law in 2012. Before i head off to law school in Tasmania i am planning on conquering the weight problem that has been my bane since young. I was originally 125Kgs/275lbs when i started my journey and to date i have lost 45.5 kgs/100 pounds. I still have quite a bit to go before i reach my ideal weight but i will get there.

I am pretty much a geek/nerd, i love reading, music, movies and good conversations. I am pretty adventurous, i love trying and discovering new things.

Before and After, anyone?
I am so inspired by the great before and after pics, it really inspires me stick to my diet plan and exercise whenever i go through a rough patch. Its my turn to give back to this thread so here is my before and after pics.

This was me at my heaviest weight at 125kgs/275lbs last year in July at my graduation ceremony.

Hey thanks for doing this !

I've been overweight and adverse to exercise my whole life but recently i started an exercise program which i have managed to stick too. I have a gym membership.

My workout routine is as follows. Yoga 3 times a week, 30 mins of cardio 7 days a weeks, some strength/core exercises 4 days a week.

Should i increase the time for cardio or is 30 mins enough ?

My strength training consists of lunges, squats, crunches...the basic stuff. How do i choose which types of strength training to do how often and how many sets/reps is recommended ? I am very new at this and my weight makes it hard to even execute a proper lunge. I'm just confused on how to get it right and form a good routine. really appreciate any advice. Thanks again Smile
