Okay, the scale did not show well this morning. I used 36.5 points yesterday (5.5 weekly allowance) and I promptly gained almost five points. I am not going to start recording the weight until I get my first real meeting under the belt. I think my poor body is still so confused. I also wonder if this is not too many points (31 daily) for my weight. My body is very muscularly dense. At this weight I wear a size 16/18, while everything I see out there at this weight is wearing at least a size 22 at my weight. Oh well. I am just diving into the WW online tools right now and trying to get myself motivated to go to my very first meeting (either this weekend or first thing next week), which I suppose will be my new starting point. Well I am up but not as horribly as I had feared. Resetting my goal to 237 pounds. That should be something I hope to be accomplish this year.Signing up for the online version of WW today and going to go to my first meeting either this week or next as my work schedule allows. I am three pounds heavier than I was a year ago. So I guess 2008 will go down in my personal weight history as a year of weight maintenance. Not all that bad. And I beat myself up for this? Oh well lesson learned. Now on for the next journey.

Still scared to step on the scale. TOM left today but I am still struggling with making it thru an entire day on plan. I am trying to do plan 4. Will sign up for weight watchers (the monthly plan-pass) on Monday and start attending my first meeting once I get it in the mail. I think it includes their e-tools.....But I think I will still blog here. Will give it a try for three months and see if I cannot get back on track. If that does not work I will need to try something else. In hindsight I wish I would have tried something else sooner rather than coasting along on LAWL. I still do not feel motivated but I so do not want to regain any more weight and I will just have to get started, motivated or not, just like I did when I started this journey in Feb of 2007. Thinking about what goal weight I can set that would be realisting. It think they tell you about 10%, which would put me in the 240's....maybe I will aim for 237 which would take me to one hundred pounds from my highest recorded weight. We shall see, right now I just need to get started again, just five pounds would thrill me right now.

I don't think I am doing so well with my food intake this week, but I am having a real good time with family and friends and I am only here twice a year or so. No stepping on the scale till I get home later this week. It has been pretty much decided for me I think that I will give weight watchers a try in the new year (check noted "ww" for the first monthts dues is pretty much a subtle hint) Have been reading about "First Place" in a wonderful book and may give that a try if I cannot make it happen on weight watchers. At this time I think most of my eating issues are truly emotional & perhaps spiritual more that the actual doing the programs. Anyhow, no time to beat my self up any longer. Onward on my journey. After all I am not quite two years into it and I knew this was going to take a very long time. I am thinking about one of my LAWL "counselors" whom it took 8 years to lose all her weight. I know many people lose weight faster and that is just awesome but I am also very very aware of that statistically 95% of people gain some or all or more weight back (check out biggest loser statistics for instance. I for one do not want to be in that statistic for a third time. So nice and slow I go.........Have a wonderful and safe New Year's celebration everyone and remember what truly is important in your life.

Monday Dec 22 weight - sorry have not had time to be on here.
Air travel and finalizing Christmas shopping have consumed my past few days. Not weighing myself while I am at my family's home here in the Winter Wonderland. Keeping as close to plan as I can without sweating it. Allowing myself to celebrate Christmas without stressing about food and will have less opportunity to cheat while staying with my Dad who is very health conscious.Will go to Curves while I am here. Have a wonderfully blessed Christmas every one!
