What to do about clothes?
All right, this may be a practical question, but still one that bugged me a lot. So you embark on a weight loss journey and you start to lose weight. You are proud (obviously) but suddenly you lost so much weight that whatever you used to down does not fit anymore.

I have tried taking some stuff in, but certain shirts or dresses just cannot be taken in with the hems that they have. So my question is rather straightforward, do you buy all new stuff or what do you do? Do you just continue walking around in clothes that are too big?

I would love to hear what some of you did, because you want to show off your results right?

Exercise
I love the positive attitude. I think we all have to start somewhere and sometimes people complain about someone ‘just going for a walk’. My response is always the same – guess what, they just did more than just remaining sedentary. I think any move towards more movement is always a positive one!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I refuse to weigh myself every day. I have noticed that I have enough fluctuations that make me paranoid about not eating right or not exercising enough. I started weighing myself every week and now weigh myself every two weeks. I now actually feel that the scale is a friend rather than a foe.

Atkins - not counting calories
Just a suggestion that no one asked for, I still feel it is a good idea to count calories for a week or so just so you have a better understanding of what goes into everything that you eat. That helped me a great deal when it came to losing weight. Hope that you found the information you were looking for

Fed up with counting calories and carbs - learning to trust myself with food.
I am like most of the people here. At first, I was very careful, I had to weigh everything and make sure that everything that I ate was measured accordingly. However, after a while you get a much better understanding of what makes your body function. Nowadays I just use my eyes to measure and I have never been happier.
