High everyone my name is Vicki and I just started the Atkins diet on December 27. I'm married a I have four kids who are all are grown- up. Our three daughters have families of their own now and they gave us six beautiful grandchildren. My son lives with us he was in an auto accident six years ago and has suffered a brain trauma he doesn't talk and is unable to walk. He does know what's going on around him at least we think he does. He watches tv and smiles at our jokes.
I'm unemployed at the moment and have been for the last six months. Which is when I stared putting on all this weight.
I used to walk six miles a day plus I would walk on my elliptical for an hour in the evenings. Now I get out of breath just climbing a flight .
Goals:
1). Lose 2 to 3 lbs. a week and stay under 20g of Net Carbs
2). Remind myself daily on why I'm doing this diet.
* To get myself healthy so that I can enjoy doing things again without getting out of breath.
*. To look better in the mirror and to other people.

What's everyone's fitness routine?
Elliptical , stationary bike, ab lounger , and total gym. Right now I'm only using my elliptical and I just ordered Zumba's 5 DVD set today I hope it wasn't a mistake to get it. I used to going out dancing on the weekend but I stopped going about a year in a half ago. I hope I can still move my body around like I used to. I also have trouble following new dance steps never got into any type of line dancing.😁. Anyone else Zumba?

I screwed up !!
I fell off the wagon this weekend too, but thanks to some buddies on FS I decided to forgive my self and start fresh the next day. They were right it takes time to learn a new way of eating healthy and your gonna be tempted at times. Just try to be prepared for the next time and don't be so hard on yourself. Remember one day at a time.

Welcome ,
I started the Atkins induction phase last week and I would enjoy having you as a buddy.
We all need buddy's for support to keep us going even on bad days and believe me I have a lot of them.
