500 calorie deficit?
You can start with the calculator for suggested daily calories. After a week or two adjust your calories up or down according to you weight loss. I have to eat a little less than the calculator suggests for me. But generally a 500 calorie deficit per day will give a pound per week weight loss. Also, that can also be accomplished by some combination of increased activity and decreased calories.

Maintenance Strategy
Good ideas, maintenance is harder than losing because it's not as motivating. I sometimes use a mantra like I'll never weigh 190 again for your example. You can set it as a daily appointment so it will pop up on your compute. Sometimes I'll say it to myself while walking.

Selecting Restaurant Foods - Improvements Please
That would be nice. I did notice if you just do a regular search after the first item, the restaurant and category will come up on the recent item list after you've typed a few letters.

Protein Powder
I add some if I'm having a cereal and milk meal which is not enough protein for me. Otherwise add to a fruit based smoothie. I would also use it to make regular yogurt higher in protein like a Greek yogurt. I find that having enough protein is key to keeping my appetite under control.

Music - What do you listen to?
I also use the Pandora app on my cell phone. You can set up your own channels based on a song or an artist. One I like for brisk exercise is based on Wild Thing by Tone Loc. It finds similar songs and plays them in a random order so no monotony. You can select favorite or skip to sort of customize the mix for you. I have other channels set up with Boom Boom Pow and Gold Digger.
