Rethinking my whole approach here...
Society, including this website, focuses on weight. But really, isn't this about the ratio of muscle-to-fat?
Several weeks ago I went on a business trip and did not seriously lift weights for about 2-3 weeks. Thought I would gain weight, but to my surprise, I lost 1.6 lbs!
However, a measurement of my waist revealed that it was exactly the same. A measurement of my chest also revealed that I had lost an inch. My 1.6 lbs of weight loss was pure muscle.
So now I'm re-thinking everything. For someone actively running and lifting, why am I tracking weight at all? Perhaps I should be focusing more on chest and waist measurements.
I've also started reading a book, "You on a Diet", that states that your waist measurement is better predictor of overall health than weight.

If you're going to run in Seattle, you might as well accept running in the rain.
I know this is true. I know I should be out there. But its raining!
*sigh*
Time to suck it up and get out there.
