I've always been on a diet. Even as a child, although i look back now and consider myslef quite slim by today's standards. So I am now the heaviest i have ever been. I am 35lbs heavier than my normal weight which is usually 150lbs. Now, I've been 150lbs chubby & 150lbs fit- i would prefer to be between 135-150lbs fit. I kno how to exercise and i love it(but havent been), I kno how to eat properly but (again haven't been)-I'm an emotional eater. I have an entire wardrobe of clothes that i cannot wear. My confidence also is greatly affected by my body image. So as you can imagine this normally confident woman is desperate to lose the weight get healthy and get her confidence back!

Protein????
Check the carbs that you are eating already and read the labels then substitute a comparable product with more protein. Example: alot of breads are so overprocessed that they have very little protein choose a higher quality bread with more grams of protein per slice. Also substitute whole grain pasta for white pasta. And the more protein you add to your diet the less hungry you will be in between meals. I find that a whole wheat english muffin with peanut butter can last me till lunch whereas a 1 full of sugar pop tart with no protein will last about an hour.

thanks cmikerun for your answer to my question about the pie chart. and from what i've read here perhaps walking and swimming aren't enough for me to get the results i want-i need to get to the gym! ( i DO have a membership lol) when you say good carbs, you mean whole grains fruits and veggies? i love peanuts/peanut butter on celery but "everyone says" that's too much fat?

Wrinkly Tummy
Swimming! I havent' lost tremendous amounts of pounds but my belly is getting flat! I can feel it tighten while i'm in the pool. Also Slim-wear is very good for the psyche- I love to dress nice too!

I NEED MOTIVATION!
I agree with Peefat but would like to offer a way of increasing your personal motivation. Write a list of every reason you can think of that you want to lose weight. Every time you're about to order french fries or something equally high in fat/high calorie/high sugar review this list.
