I'm 59 and recently retired, but more like "re-treaded" and have made the leap from working in a corporate non-profit environment to slowly beginning to create my own company. My goal is to work with actors and artists in my community to help each group network together and provide support for each other, bringing a more vibrant artistic presence to our fair city. I am a one year survivor of breast cancer and credit the disease with boosting me into living life to its fullest. I hope that by working on those things most important to me: faith, family, health and creative outlets, that I will be able to give back what I can to those I love most.

Sometimes you just fall off the wagon
This past week I felt like two people; one that blew off my whole ww plan and caved in to the snacks, and one that stood quietly in the background, arms tightly folded, shaking her head sadly. Today I'm making lists, checking them twice and heading off to the grocery store to purchase healthy food for healthy meals. I'm not giving up!Bad Grin

Looking for buddies for the long haul
Congratulations, Sunrise, on your 10 lb weight loss! You're on your way! I started back to weight watchers, but this time I added going to the gym and using a trainer for a short period to build my confidence. It's tough to be exercising in what I thought would be a room full of young and trim people. As it turned out, many of the people there are in a situation similar to my own and folks just concentrate on their own stuff, so it's no big deal. Sounds like you'll soon have buddies too, to help you along. Blessings!
