Okay, fell off and now time to brush it off and get back on track for health. I kept my calories between 1000-1500 daily but didn't record, I tried to stick to fresh foods, salads. Due to mid-terms and the stress I turned left picked up a pack of cigarettes and one taco bell run and one soda. Stayed away from meat, fish, and chicken except for two days in which I put a roast on for the kids and no one was home to eat it. So when wrapping it up, I feasted. LOL.. The only fried food was some Shrimp tempura and Squid on a splurge for a birthday dinner. Stress sometimes tends to make me go the wrong way, not only in diet but just trying to keep up with the world or in this case three tough mid terms. The weight at 46 comes off differently, and I have found that I feel much better and mentally stronger if I take my vitamins, eat fresh foods, and get some exercise. However, the exercise does not always motivate me to study, but actually to exercise more because of the endorphin rush that I get from exercises. They are two different tracks and keeping a balance between them is so difficult. Its either study all the time or exercise all the time- I don't know if they belong together or not (I would like to find the balance). I am trying to get to 155 by the summer. I need to refill the fridge with fresh food, and get back on track with counting calories. I have an internship in New Jersey this summer and would like to be in shape because its a very active internship... I heard something that may or may not help someone I know most of us have heard this but it was nice to be reminded. "Character is not measured by each and every success that you have, it is measured by how you handle your failures" I had such a hard week at school, and I honestly am fighting myself right now to give up. The good thing is that I know its better if I keep trying to give it my best, if I don't give up it keeps going better-and on the days that life is too much- (I know the sun will rise again). If I stay kind, keep trying, remember that God is helping me through this. It works so much better... We are never in our battles alone, therefore keep trying and do your best. The results .. I was hoping to be at 165 by now. I am not, but the scale was 1 lb less. I was hoping to be sure if I wanted to go to Grad school, or join the peace corp. I am not sure, but of one thing... God is getting me through my struggles, knowing my heart and desires and finding the best path to get there. I just know... Good luck if anyone is reading. If not... I inspire me- because I know how life is often very difficult in my perception, yet what actually sees me through is I know the Glory of my Lord... Best wishes. 155--- I will try my best, with a GPA of 3.6- Oh also the time to try harder is when you fall behind and "Never, Ever, Give Up" This is a quote from a child in which I admire Jessica. Her story is an inspiration, a little sad, but very glorious.
