So I decided to change my bio...I have been a member of this site since May 2010. I've dropped roughly 20 pounds and I'm motivated to lose more...lots more!

I have decided on a goal of 150 pounds. At 5'2" that may seem heavy, but I'm a very curvy girl and I'll NEVER be high school skinny again. And ya know what?? I'm ok with that. I'm learning to love my curves.

I am a wife and mother of three beautiful kids. I have lived many years putting everyone else's needs before my own and it hasn't served me well. But those days are behind me and I'm committed to taking care of myself.

I have learned to love sweat and I try to do it daily. Here in Florida, that's not difficult. But I've been having fun while exercising. I've been trying new things that I never thought I would even like, let alone want to do it again. I have more energy than I've had in years.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg! I am here for the long haul and this site is a crucial part of my journey. I've made many friends that support me on this journey. They are all blessings from above.

Here's to our weight loss journey...together, anything's possible!!

Shae, you're so funny! My hubby doesn't really have much to lose and I have never forced anything on him but seeing me strive to be healthier has inspired him to get on the same plate with me. I think he's heard me "talk" about doing it so much and have never followed thru, but this time I didn't just "talk"...I followed thru & I've been exercising regularly. I think that's the part he's most impressed about b/c I've never really been one to exercise. I'll go on stupid fad diets and maybe try to exercise a little here and there...but this time has been different. And I think he sees it...actions speak louder than words.

Dietary benefits that aren't weight loss!
I love this post!! Great topic and Tig...ur funny! I am grateful for:

-fitting into clothes that didn't fit a few months ago
-my friends and family saying how great I look
-my hubby chasing me around like I'm a supermodel
-getting noticed by men
-endless energy
-getting creative with food
-getting my hubby & kids interested in being more active
-feeling confident when I'm walking next to my gorgeous hubby
-and also having healthy fingernails as well
