Eat To Live by Dr. Fuhrman

Steady
Where to start...I'm 53 years old, retired Certified Pharmacy Technician, married 10 years to my wonderful second husband, and am an insulin dependant diabetic. I have a 25 year old son from my first marriage, and two boxer-lab mix dogs. It seems like I have been at least 100 lbs. overweight my whole life. It made my childhood unhappy, and my teens and twenties were simply miserable. I have started countless 'serious' diets; and once, in my thirties, actually lost about 100 lbs. on my own.(It came back) I even went to see a bariatric surgeon to try to get a gastric bypass.(Didn't work out) I have been on everything from Atkins, to Richard Simmons, to Weight Watchers. But now, I think my eyes have finally been opened...my brother-in-law (same age + 100lbs overweight) just had a SECOND stent inserted in his heart. This really scared me, and now since June 8th, 2012 I am following "Eat to Live" by Dr. Joel Furhman. I'd love to find a few folks to make
new friends to chat with and help in any way possible. I hope everyone the best of luck in what ever works best for you. P.S. I have been addicted to General Hospital for 40 years...and counting. :)
