I'm a 5'3", single 54 yr old mother of 5, grandma of 1. I'm a Admin Asst, which also mean I sit on my "hiney" all day. Use to be quite active, but I divorced about 2 yrs ago, and my activity level has since slowed down to a crawl. I also quite smoking Sept 13th 2013, and have since gained about 20 lbs; NOT GOOD considering Diabetes is in my immediate family.

If I can quite smoking cold turkey after 20 yrs, I should be able to drop 40 lbs or more. Course age isn't helping with my backseat spread, but I'm refocusing my determination & willpower!

Any advice is most welcome, along with comments, encouragement, and just plain companionship in our common quest.

Here's to Us, our new and improved self!
